Yanyan Hong

Yanyan is a final year Bachelor of Communication student majoring in Digital Media. As an international student, she is passionate about discovering new cultures, seeing behind the scene of the HASS faculty and creating changes for HASS students. This is what led her to join the inaugural HASS Crew in 2017 as a volunteer in the School of Communication and Arts; and School of Languages and Cultures. She also worked as a HASS student ambassador supporting events such as 2017 UQ open day, and meeting with prospective students. In 2018, Yanyan is working with the HASS Student Futures team to conduct a research project focused on enhancing the university experience of international students in the HASS faculty. Yanyan is now looking forward to turning their findings into actions and ensuring international students could benefit from this research project.
